Well i have been having a lot of issues with getting google analytics on to my blog so i hope it actually comes out..but here is a table with my data that never came up...

So HW#4, an overall good time :), asked me to go on a website called theyrule.net and find a path connecting companies. Just for fun I chose two really unrelated companies- Estee Lauder and General Mills. My reasoning was a) I just bought new Estee Lauder perfume and i was wearing it. cool. And b) i was also eating some delicious cereal...from Genreal Mills. Life- its funny like that. So the connection was pretty shirt- it went through just two companies-sears roebuck and time warner inc. thats about it. it really is a small world after all.

Hey everyone..so yesterday I went to my AdClub meeting and we got a brief tutorial in Photoshop. One of the photo databases they use is a website called Getty Images. Basically you can copy and paste pictures from their site as long as you do not distribute them. If you would like to purchase the rights you may. Anyway there are some interesting photographers I found on the site. But the general site can be found at Getty Images. Check it out!

the rejected cartoons

The first one is like an alternative to youtube which is a nice change and i actually ended up finding this wicked funny video of old folks fighting. niiiice lol. the second one is like that question we all ask ourselves- do i need a jacket today? and hey the website tells you yes or no and tells ya why. pretty convenient. fyi: wear a jacket. why? cause its windy. and last but not least.....the rejected cartoons. this reminds me of this salad fingers cartoon that my friend sent me online. i laughed for two minutes and then i had to turn it off. waaay to disturbing. this was pretty funny but i have ADD and i couldnt sit throught it :D

Sooooo because this is just THE most interesting thing you've ever read and im SO sure you've told all your friends about it, i posted a license on my blog. I chose the "Attributions-No Derivatives" license which was pretty sweet b/c that means that people can redistribute my blog, commercially and non-commercialy, as long as its unchanged. i went with this approach b/c i dont write anything profound or life-changing so i really dont mind if other people copy it. I do mind if people change what i said so thats why i would like to prevent editing. people can feel free to post comments and whatnot...as long as i get credit for the lovely time ive devoted to this. well thats about it for the license schpeal.

Hello all...so the american music collection by the Andrew Smith Gallery. i didnt want to post every picture because that would just be boring so this is just a good way to see the rest of the artwork. The second link is a gallery of her works put together by Temple University. Included here is Andy Warhol, The Grateful Dead, John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd and Donald Trump as well as the famous photograph of John Lennon and Yoko Ono taken the morning of his murder. Ok and finally is a really nice website from an article the New York Times published. Leibowitz showcased a series of photographs called Women. The photos are really captivvating of the human persona. Oh and the above pic is of Ann Richards- former gov of Texas. Its just funny. Gramma with a shotgun. i mean really? REALLY?

So this is the last one for today. It is again, Annie Leibowitz, and it is fron an American Masters collection she did of influential musicians around the country. It is of Brian Wilson at his home in Beverly Hills. It's pretty funny that he looks like a total schmuck standing on front of his estate. The usually glamorous Hillz is cloudy and stormy matching the seriously sour look on Wilson's face. its just a giggle...so enjoy :)

I found this photograph by Annie Leibowitz in Vanity Fair a while back. It is of Gwyneth Paltrow and her mom Blythe Danner. It is just amazing how beautiful and peaceful they both look; the mother daughter bond they share looks so untouchable. It is as if nothing can disturb them. Also, the quality of the photo and how the lighting and wardrobe choices all contribute to the softness and feminity of the piece.

ok so i decided to change my blog to something more interesting than my previous postings. Anyway I love photography filled with raw emotion and photographs that capture more than just a person;s face. Photos that can look inside a person are a work of art. Thus, I am going to post different photographs that i find interesting. The first set of pictures are by Annie Leibovitz, a very talented photographer who oftens appears in Vanity Fair and Vogue. She captures really raw, powerful images that I thnk y'all should see :)
